Spicy Cabbage Recipe
This spicy cabbage is an excellent vegetable accompaniment. A very versatile spicy dish that can also be served as a warm side salad. It’s so easy and quick to make that it can be a handy last minute addition to any meal.
Serves 4
Spicy Cabbage Recipe Ingredients:
4 tablespoons margarine
1/2 teaspoon white cumin seeds
3-8 dried red chillies, to taste
1 small onion, sliced
2 1/2 cups cabbage
2 carrots, grated
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Spicy Cabbage Recipe Cooking Instructions:
1. Melt the margarine in a pan and stir-fry the white cumin seeds and dried red chillies for about 30 seconds.
2. Add the sliced onion and cook for about 2 minutes. Add the cabbage and carrots and stir-fry for another 5 minutes or until the cabbage is soft.
3. Stir in the salt and lemon juice. Serve immediately.
